In this week’s NOW, I have a bit of a chat with Roger Corman, the original King of the B’s — subject of the new documentary “Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel” and the producer who midwifed the careers of a dozen great American directors, including Coppola, Demme, Dante, Sayles, Cameron and (arguably) Scorsese. And also Ron Howard.
I also talked to Jay Duplass at the TIFF premiere of his new film with his brother Mark, “Jeff, Who Lives at Home”. Nice guy and everything, but come on. Roger Fucking Corman.
I admit it. I kinda had to pinch myself afterward. I have the best job.
