My MSN DVD column isn’t up yet, and the only news is bad news — the death of Gerald Pratley, AFLAC’s firing of Gilbert Gottfried as the the voice of its spokesduck, the fact that “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” moved its official debut once again to avoid opening on the Ides of March, thus avoiding becoming an actual Shakespearean tragedy.

Okay, maybe that last one’s not totally bad news. And anyway, when things get grim, there’s always puppies, right?
