Ah, there’s this week’s MSN DVD column … which couldn’t help but focus on Clint Eastwood’s “Hereafter”, what with the whole opening tsunami sequence. (If you think the timing’s terrible on that, it gets worse when you realize it’s still playing in Japanese theaters — or it was, anyway.)

And I have to admit, there are things knocking around in the movie that have kinda stayed with me in the months since I first saw it — Matt Damon’s performance, mostly, and a couple of Peter Morgan’s ideas. I can’t endorse the film, but it does have more to chew on than anything Eastwood’s done since “Letters from Iwo Jima”. That’s something, right?
