Okay, so I’m in the tank for Edgar Wright. I don’t think that’s a secret. The guy’s a genius, and after four features and two series of Spaced, I’m pretty sure he has a direct line into my subconscious. That fourth picture, The World’s End, opens across North America tomorrow, so here I am talking about it with him — and with frequent collaborator/gleeful imp Nick Frost — in the new NOW.
I also talk to Lily Collins, star of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, and found her smart and nice and not at all dopey and noisy like the movie she’s in. But you’re probably more interested in The World’s End — as you should be — so you’ll want to know how to see it as quickly as possible.
If you’re free tonight, why not come down to the Rainbow Cinema Market Square, where I’ll be hosting the only Canadian screening of the Cornetto Trilogy? We start with my beloved Shaun of the Dead at 6:45pm, roll into Hot Fuzz at 8:45 pm and then The World’s End plays at 11 pm. Tickets are available at the venue. I’m told there will be trivia, prizes and costumes. Join us. For the greater good.
