Tonight marks the second-last of my Harbourfront Free Flicks screenings, and it’s a film of which I’m inordinately fond: Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont’s delightful 2001 satire Josie and the Pussycats, which uses the world of Archie Comics as a Trojan horse to shake a generation of tweens out of their drooling cultural torpor. Plus, the songs rock. Come down, it’ll be awesome.
Also, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones opens everywhere today. My review will be online tonight and in tomorrow’s paper, but bottom line? Meh.
