Once again, Rob Ford has thrown NOW’s editorial plans for a loop; two potential cover stories, one of which would have been mine, were abandoned after the events of the last week. But I still get a little play in the new package, with a shorter version of my weekend web piece.

For actual new content, check out my interviews with Belle‘s Amma Asante and Locke‘s Steven Knight, two very intelligent filmmakers who’ve made movies that push against the boundaries of their chosen genres. That’s an instinct I’m always happy to get behind.
