Happy National Canadian Film Day, everybody!
What’s that? You didn’t know it was National Canadian Film Day? Well, you must be an awful person. But you can make up for it by watching a Canadian film, and if you’re in the Toronto area I can offer you a double-bill that’s pretty cool.
As I mentioned in this week’s NOW, Bruce McDonald’s Highway 61 and Don McKellar’s Last Night screen tonight at the Royal, the former at 7 pm and the latter at 9:15 pm. Both filmmakers will be present for Q&A sessions, and I will be there to moderate them. Won’t that be awesome? You know it will. Come on down.
(Or stay home and watch Leolo, that’d be fine with me too.)
