After all that, I only ended up doing one Oscar hit yesterday — maybe we really are down to a six-hour news cycle now, and nothing that breaks in the morning matters by lunch. Or maybe I’m just not that popular this year. Sniff.
Anyhow, moving on: This week’s MSN DVD column is up, featuring the very good John Lennon biopic “Nowhere Boy”, which I cynically — and, as it turns out, correctly — predicted would be entirely overlooked by the Academy.
Sod ’em. It’s a very good movie, and you should see it.
Note, Norm, John Malkovich wasn’t in Seabiscuit, but in Secretariat. I also confuse the two easily.
Dammit! Thanks for the catch; I’ll have it fixed as soon as everyone’s back at their desks tomorrow. That would have been a less glaring mistake if my “Secretariat” capsule didn’t appear four inches below the error …
… you know, I wonder if I accidentally spell-checked that into existence. I’m sure I had it right the first time around.
