Please forgive me for filling this week’s NOW with text, both in the print edition and online. There’s just so much damn stuff coming out, you know?
A lot of this stuff is held back from TIFF. For “Argo”, I talked to Ben Affleck and Alan Arkin (and Scoot McNairy, too); for “Seven Psychopaths”, I hung out with Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken, and for Brandon Cronenberg’s “Antiviral”, I caught up with Sarah Gadon.
(Yeah, about that. It was our third interview in a year, and the third time she’s been relegated to a web exclusive. Sorry, Sarah; I will put you on the goddamn cover to make it up to you, if it’s the last thing I do.)
And yet more! An interview with Sarah Polley about her excellent new film “Stories We Tell”, which took place just last week even though her movie also played TIFF!
How do I keep myself sane, you ask? Candy, mostly. But I’m thinking of trying meth. What could go wrong?
