This week’s episode of Someone Else’s Movie couldn’t be about anything else, really.

I was able to grab Brett Simmons earlier this month when he brought his slasher comedy You Might Be the Killer to the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, and he knew exactly what he wanted to talk about: Halloween II.

I was into it. Not that I’m a huge fan of the movie — John Carpenter and Debra Hill were clearly in it for the money, and Rick Rosenthal just doesn’t have the same style (let alone the merciless sense of momentum) Carpenter brought to the original in 1978. But it opens up a really interesting conversation about the Halloween franchise and where it ended up going, culminating in David Gordon Green’s current (and canonical) follow-up. So you’re gonna want to listen to that, I think.

It’s almost time! The clock is ticking! Subscribe to the show on Apple PodcastsGoogle Play and Stitcher, stream it on Spotify or download the episode directly from the web. And enjoy!
