You know what that sound is? It’s the sound of nothing. Life has reverted to normal fter the end of the film festival, and I’m back to working with reasonable deadlines and an acceptable schedule. I saw a movie on Monday. One movie. It was nice.

I’m still on the job, mind you. But after five weeks of constant activity (and a few minor crises, like the Affair of the Broken Spacebar), it’s nice to be scaling back to a life lived in third gear instead of fifth.

Now, if only MSN would put this week’s DVD column online … but until then, here’s an excellent AV Club article about the release of the “Star Wars” films on Blu-ray, and the soul-searching that event has triggered in some of us.
