I talked to Katie Aselton about Black Rock earlier this spring, just before the movie’s American theatrical run, with the expectation that I’d be able to run the interview when the film opened up here later in the summer.
But the date kept getting pushed, and when Black Rock finally made it to Canada it was as an afterthought, dumped into the Carlton on Labour Day weekend. I found out about it the day before it opened — like, early Thursday afternoon — so there was no chance to run the interview in NOW. Hell, I barely had time to file a review.
This is where having two gigs comes in handy. Because now that Black Rock is on DVD, our conversation can find a home over at MSN, and everybody wins. Go read it, she’s cool.
Earlier than I interviewed Emily, I did not notice she
was herself a breast milk donor.
