Here’s a thing about the Oscars, because it’s basically all anyone wants to talk about this weekend. But I’d really rather you check out my look at TIFF’s Abbas Kiarostami retrospective, or this piece on the coincidental 25th anniversary reissues of The Reflecting Skin and Only Yesterday, two very different films that aren’t that different at all.
