Into the Heartland

This week on Someone Else’s Movie, I finally get the last remaining cast member of Great Great Great onto the show: Dan Beirne, an invaluable character actor who’s been all over movies and TV recently (Noah Hawley’s Fargo, Workin’ Moms, White Lie), and who stars in Matthew Rankin’s absurdist history The Twentieth Century as the young William Lyon Mackenzie King. Yes, really.

Dan wanted to talk about Monrovia, Indiana and the cinema of Frederick Wiseman, and honestly I was all for it. We don’t get a lot of docs on the show, and it makes for a nice change, I think. Although I could have done without the dog surgery.

Wait, what? Listen and find out! Subscribe on Apple PodcastsGoogle Play and Stitcher to get the episode instantly, or stream it on Spotify, or just download it directly from the web. And enjoy it. That’s what it’s for.
