The Images festival is back for its 21st incarnation, spilling experimental film and video imagery — and even some sound — all across Queen West for the next week and a half.
Here is my overview for today’s NOW. It is by no means comprehensive, but it makes up for that by being really long.
I have to say, for all the work that’s involved, it feels really good to be getting back into the catacombs of Toronto’s film scene; I’ve spent the last few years having to ignore anything that wasn’t a conventional feature film, so it was reassuring to know I can still navigate the more specialized stuff.
That didn’t make “The Lollipop Generation” any easier to watch, though.
