A cold snap is not unexpected at this time of year, but it’s been just miserable in Toronto this week — Dexter won’t go outside for more than a minute or two, and honestly I don’t blame him.
Anyway, if you’re braver than Dexter you could venture out to the megaplex and watch a movie. Or catch this month’s edition of TIFF’s Secret Movie Club at the Lightbox Sunday morning. I’m not hosting this one, but I’ve seen the movie we’re screening and it’s a really good choice. You should check it out.
Extreme Job: Korean cop comedy is awfully entertaining.
Into Invisible Light: Jennifer Dale’s great; the movie’s problematic.
The Misandrists: Bruce LaBruce just wants attention, folks. [Susan]
Miss Bala: The original was solid. This one ..? [Rad]
Velvet Buzzsaw: Look out, art world! Satire’s coming!
Village Rockstars: Scrappy mother-daughter story deserves attention. [Rad]
Wonders of the Sea 3D: Why is Arnold Schwarzenegger narrating this? [Rad]
Oh, and Kevin liked Russian Doll, which I’m hoping to catch as soon as I have the time. Maybe April, April’s looking calm.
