At TIFF screenings this year, the trailer for the impending Grace Kelly exhibition drew shrugs, sighs and eventually jeers; it seemed like a desperate attempt to tart up a boomer-targeted nostalgia tour through the life of Hollywood’s first Pretty Pretty Princess.
But here’s the twist: The show is actually pretty solid. I took the media tour earlier this week, and wrote about it for NOW. I also take inventory of TIFF’s acconmpanying film series, “Icy Fire: The Hitchcock Blonde“, in this week’s NOW web column, because I’m comprehensive like that.
