This week’s episode of Someone Else’s Movie exhibits a teensy bit of acoustic weirdness, as circumstances forced us to record it in my dining room rather than the studio. (A neighbor got a nailgun for Christmas. Don’t ask.)
But it turns out that some modest reverb issues are entirely appropriate to this conversation this week, as my guest is director Peter Lynch — the man behind Project Grizzly, The Herd and A Whale of a Tale, and who moved into dramatic features with this year’s Birdland — on Francis Ford Coppola’s The Conversation, that note-perfect 1974 thriller about surveillance, paranoia and electronic audio warbles. Not that we warble ourselves, mind you. That would just be weird.
It’s a good chat, and you’re going to want to listen to it. So do that! Subscribe to the show on Apple Podcasts, Google Play or Stitcher, or grab it directly from the web. And enjoy it! We didn’t spend an hour hunched over the dinner table for nothing, you know.
