This week’s MSN DVD column looks Andrew Stanton’s rather unfairly dismissed fantasy epic “John Carter”.
I know it’s not perfect — far from it, actually — but to my mind it’s the kind of flawed picture that merits consideration for what it does accomplish, rather than for what it fails to achieve. And Taylor Kitsch was really good in it, dammit.

I thought “John Carter” was a lot of fun, and Lynn Collins was great! The film did not deserve the drubbing it got before anyone even got a chance to see it, the consequence of a bad marketing campaign leading the studio to getting cold feet.
