In this week’s NOW, I chat with Danny Boyle and Shane Carruth about their new projects — one of which is among the best films of this young year — and I also pull out my conversations with Ryan Gosling, Derek Cianfrance and Eva Mendes, from when they brought The Place Beyond the Pines to TIFF last fall.
