Brett Ratner’s “Rush Hour 3” — which is surely the sloppiest and sorriest excuse for a sequel I’ve seen in years, and I’ve just seen “Daddy Day Camp” — has just enjoyed a $50 million opening weekend.
They say no one ever went broke underestimating the American public, but this is just sad.
On the other hand, a whole new generation of moviegoers have just been creeped out by Roman Polanski, so maybe we can call it even.
