Given the general end-times vibe at the megaplex — with The Colony offering a vision of the near future as a frozen wasteland and Oblivion imagining an Earth depleted of all natural resources, including human life — it seemed like a good time for an MSN Movies gallery rounding up a few other movies set after the collapse of civilization, with scattered survivors knocking around, killing time before it all wraps up. 

Or maybe I’m just feeling morbid this week. Who can say?
