We are not who we appear to be. The fire's real, thoughThe new issue of NOW is out, in which you’ll find me discussing “The Arbor” with director Clio Barnard. We get into her movie in greater detail than I was allowed last week, when all I was allowed to do was nod encouragingly in its direction. I’m doing considerably more than that today.

You should see “The Arbor”, is what I’m saying. But since it doesn’t open until tomorrow, you should first see “And Everything Is Going Fine“, Steven Soderbergh’s excellent tribute to the actor and monologuist Spalding Gray, which finally lands a theatrical run nearly a year after it made its Toronto bow at Hot Docs. It will make you sad, but that’s all right. Sadness is the appropriate response, really.
