I’ve been sitting on this week’s episode of Someone Else’s Movie since last November, wondering if it was as good as I remember.

My guest was Kulap Vilaysack, a writer and producer behind the goofy reality-TV satire Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ who’d brought her moving personal documentary Origin Story to town for the Reel Asian festival.

I really like what she does, and I think Origin Story is terrific, so I was delighted when she agreed to do the podcast — and even more so when she told me she wanted to tackle Joe Cornish’s Attack the Block, one of this decade’s great B-movies and one that people really should be talking about more. So we did!
