In this week’s NOW, I talk to Sally Field, the second actress to play Mary Todd Lincoln this year. (Mary Elizabeth Winstead was seen this summer as a rather more aggressive version of the character in Timur Bekmambetov’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.)

I did not ask Ms. Field what she thought of Winstead’s performance, or whether vampires came up during her own exhaustive research. And I’m still kinda kicking myself for that.
