Tonight, we’re showing That Thing You Do!, Tom Hanks’ 1996 directorial debut set in an alternate American landscape where the British Invasion never happened and popular music evolved along slightly different lines. It’s got wonderful music, bang-on casting and some very canny choices by Mr. Hanks, and you should, y’know, come down and see it. For free.
