The Chill Settles In

Bryan Cranston is all of us.

Here’s what’s opening this weekend. They’re, um, not sending us their best.

Capernaum: Labaki’s latest: Inspiring, or poverty porn? [Rad]

Destroyer: Good, but could have been great.

A Dog’s Way Home: Sounds like she makes it. Whew.

Replicas: Keanu builds a robot family, oversteps. [Review coming later today.]

The Upside: Les Intouchables avec Cranston and Hart. [Rad]

Oh, but Netflix rolled out its new British high-school comedy Sex Education today, and it’s very good. So maybe stay in and watch that. It’s cold out.

Also, I wrote about Marvel maybe saving the Oscars in this week’s Superhero Nonsense column. I have kind of a weird job.

And if the weather warms up on Sunday, maybe come down to the Lightbox and join me for this month’s Secret Movie Club? It’ll be fun, probably!
