The NOW holiday movie special is on the stands, and it is a monster; I’m quietly amazed at what’s in there, honestly.

There’s my cover story on Robert Downey, Jr. and the 800-lb. gorilla  that is the “Sherlock Holmes” sequel; there’s my Q&A with Jamie Bell, star of “The Adventures of Tintin”; my conversation with Max von Sydow, who might win an Oscar for his role in “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close”, and a chat with Gary Oldman, who probably will not win one for his role in “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy” because what he does is likely too damn subtle for the Academy.

So, you know, that’s quite a lot of stuff. But it’s only about a third of the package, which covers nearly every film opening between now and the end of the year. We pushed ourselves very hard for this one. Hope  you enjoy reading it.
