And her choice of film? Kathryn Bigelow’s masterful Near Dark, the ultra-stylish horror-Western that remains one of the best genre films of the ’80s, even though hardly anyone seems to remember it nowadays.

But we do. And we are here to celebrate it, and you’re invited to ride along. Subscribe on Apple PodcastsGoogle Play and Stitcher to get the episode instantly, or stream it on Spotify, or grab the MP3 directly from the web. Just be sure to listen to it during the day.
