Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s The Lego Movie earned $69.1 million this weekend, and it deserved every penny.

George Clooney’s The Monuments Men opened in second place with $22.7 million — which isn’t bad, given how grim the buzz turned in advance of its opening. So that’s nice for everybody.

Really, though, you should see The Lego Movie. Because it really is awesome.
