This week’s MSN DVD column is up, in which I do my very best to help people understand why “Morning Glory” — despite a terrific lead performance from Rachel McAdams — is kind of an abomination, as far as movies about the media go.

And before anyone takes issue with the line about “The Notebook”, yes, I know McAdams was great in “Red Eye”. Nobody’s arguing that. But she didn’t have that many opportunities to be charming or funny, for obvious reasons.

Also, in honor of International Women’s Day, I will be blasting “Hey Ladies” at random intervals until sunset. So if you hear an unexpected cowbell in the distance, that’s probably me.
