This week on Someone Else’s Movie, filmmaker Arturo Perez Torres joins me to talk about a movie very close to his heart: Alfonso Cuaron’s Y Tu Mama Tambien.

Arturo — who’ll be at Sunday’s Canadian Screen Awards gala as a nominee for Best Adapted Screenplay — was more than happy to discuss the film and how it influenced his first feature The Drawer Boy after a decade of documentary work. We also got into Roma a little; did you know the two films are directly, explicitly connected? I didn’t!
