Yeah, it’s a cheap shot, but “My Kid Could Paint That” practically invites such easy derision with its title and its subject, a four-year-old girl who becomes a media sensation in the rarified world of abstract art.
Amir Bar-Lev’s documentary made my ten-best list for 2007, and is the focus of my latest Sympatico/MSN DVD column, along with Nina Davenport’s “Operation Filmmaker”. It’ll make sense when you read it.
