Salon’s War Room blog had a little contest yesterday, asking readers to come up with a bumper-sticker slogan for the Democratic Party in advance of the 2008 election.
I offered two simple words: “Remember America?”
It came in fifth. And if you check the comments, it’s the only one people are talking about.
I mean, there’s no way they’ll ever use it — too controversial! Too contentious! Might alienate our red-state brothers! — but that kinda says it all, doesn’t it?
