My latest MSN DVD column tries to put John Carpenter’s “The Ward” in some sort of perspective, but basically? It’s crap, and he doesn’t care.
On the bright side, we’ll always have “The Thing”.

I don’t know anything about John Carpenter’s personal life outside of his film career. Does he have other interests that he uses his directing gigs to finance, like Coppola and his winery? Because otherwise, I can’t see why he even bothers to continue making movies when he’s so disinterested in them.
