I’ve been doing Someone Else’s Movie for three years this week — in fact, the podcast went live on iTunes three years ago on this very day — and to mark the occasion, I rolled out an extra-long, extra- fun episode that starts with the vaguely remembered Eric Roberts martial-arts movie Best of the Best and quickly spirals out to look at decades of action franchises.

That’s because my guest is Andrew Phung — now a two-time Canadian Screen Award winner as best supporting actor in a comedy series in for his role as Kimchee in Kim’s Convenience — and as someone who came up through Calgary’s improv circuit, he’s always willing to follow an idea wherever it leads.
