On this week’s episode of Someone Else’s Movie, I add another Hannibal cast member to the podcast: It’s Lara Jean Chorostecki — whom you may also remember from X Company, Designated Survivor and that one episode of Killjoys, and who co-hosts the Women On Screen Out Loud podcast with Jen Pogue. And she’s here to talk about Bo Burnham’s amazing debut feature Eighth Grade, which leads us to some really interesting places — and to a digression about The Princess Bride that surprised both of us.
We actually recorded this episode almost a year ago, and I’ve been trying to find the right window to release it … and now the window is open: Nose to Tail, a prickly drama that reunites Chorostecki with her Hannibal colleague Aaron Abrams (one of the original Friends of the Podcast, having appeared on the very second episode), opens this Friday, so here we are.
Want to join us? Of course you do! Subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Google Play and Stitcher to get the episode instantly, or stream it on Spotify, or just download it directly from the web. And if you’re curious to read my 2018 interview with Burnham, it’s right here! I’m helpful like that.
