I’m finally feeling normal again, but two weeks spent down with the flu means I’m sorely underrepresented in this week’s paper. But I did write something about TIFF’s new Japanese Divas series — a series that seems more than a little flimsy as a showcase for female talent, but if you look at it from the perspective of “wow, that’s a terrific assortment of Japanese movies” it gets considerably more impressive.

It’s always about the movies, after all …
