I’ve been so busy this week that I almost forgot to round up my latest NOW columns, so here goes:
This week’s screening spotlight falls on the Water Docs Film Festival, which marks its eighth year with a pretty broad slate of documentaries. (You would think they’d run out of material, but it turns out there are a lot of people making eco-docs these days. Can’t imagine why.)
And my latest Superhero Nonsense column looks at the Disney/Fox merger and its effect on the Marvel Cinematic Universe … which is basically that the X-Men and the Fantastic Four will end up fighting alongside Captain Marvel at some point.
Oh, and I went to the Hot Docs launch conference on Tuesday and tried to run down everything that’s going to be screening at the festival later this spring. Barely got a corner of it, but I’m very excited about theĀ Alien documentary.
