The TIFF marathon usually breaks on the Tuesday, as the pileup of interviews makes it impossible to attend more than one or two screenings. But not this year.

I’ve got no less than four movies today, one of which isn’t even in the festival … but it’s the new Richard Shepard, so it’ll feel like it is.

And so, as I run out to start the day, I offer you my latest Metro capsules … oh, and a most entertaining Onion AV Club interview with Eddie Izzard, who appears in Julie Taymor’s TIFF gala “Across the Universe” as a sort of post-Bono-cameo purgative — though curiously, he doesn’t mention it in the piece.

Perhaps it never came up.
