After nearly two decades, Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky can finally be done with the sad, sorry case of the West Memphis Three.
“Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory” — which came out on DVD this past Tuesday — is their final word on the subject, ending with the lovely flourish of Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jesse Misskelley Jr. walking out of an Arkansas courthouse last fall as free men.
I wasn’t able to talk to the filmmakers when they brought the film to TIFF last year, but I did get to catch up with Sinofsky over the phone last week, and wrote that interview up for MSN Movies. Read it, and then check out the movie. Yeah, you know how it ends, but that’s not really the point.
