This is awesome! This is Cute Overload meets Grizzly Man, but, you know, without the obvious mental issues.
I discussed your comment from your great gunfights column about the Neo and Trinity vs. Security scene being technically unnecessary to the plot with some other movie lovers…I agree plotwise, but I think in terms of the emotional arc of the movie, this is the obvious shift from defensive to offensive presented visually – from this scene on, Neo has a sense of implacable resolve. And, like you said, it’s really cool. Its violence is balletic in the same way that many Asian movies are (Hero comes to mind as an example).
