The box-office results are in, and Disney’s Frozen has clambered to the top of the pile, nudging The Hunger Games: Catching Fire out of first place by grossing 31.6 million to the megasequel’s $27 million.
Catching Fire remains a monster, mind you, having pulled in $673.4 million globally, so slipping into second place isn’t exactly a lethal blow.
Waaaaay down in third place was Scott Cooper’s terrible all-star revenge drama Out of the Furnace, which opened with $5.3 million on the power of its cast, I guess. Certainly the reviews didn’t pull people in.
